June 29, 2018 Originally an undrafted free agent, Beagle spent four partial seasons in Hershey before sticking with the Capitals during the 2010-11 season. He made his NHL debut for the Caps in Feb. 2009. He's recorded 116 points (on 51 goals, 65 assists) in 10 seasons with the Caps.
Beagle is coming off a three-year, $5.25 million contract and should earn more in free agency.
