Jay Gruden doesn't expect the Redskins to be active at the trade deadline.

Washington's head coach last week thought they might be interested in adding a wide receiver. But Gruden tells JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington that's not necessarily the case now, as Tuesday's 4 p.m. deadline approaches.

"No, I don't think so," Gruden said. "I don't know. We'll see."

"We'll entertain offers and all that stuff, but right now, with the roster the way it is and some of the injuries that are kind of lingering, it's gonna just be hard to add another body," he said. "We'd have to make a roster move and I don't know if we have the ability to do that right now."

"But you never know," he added. "We'll wait and see what happens, if anything happens. But I like the team that we have. I really don't think we need any changes right now."

Coming off a three-game win streak – with consecutive wins against the Panthers, Cowboys and Giants – the Redskins are 5-2 and sitting atop the NFC East.

The largest outcry from Redskins fans has been to add either a receiver or cornerback, the most recent example being a clamoring DeSean Jackson, who reportedly requested a trade out of Tampa.
