(Full disclosure: Every part of perpetuating this feels wrong and unfair, and somewhat exploitative, considering it was practice. But media was invited for a reason. Apologies to John Wall.)
John Wall took some practice cuts in the cage before Sunday's celebrity softball game, as part of MLB All-Star Week at Nationals Park.

— 106.7 The Fan (@1067theFan) July 15, 2018The optics are bad. Seven years ago, Wall threw out one of the worst ceremonial first pitches in history at Nats Park.
Now, it appears, he can't hit, either.
In fairness, Wall came through when it counted, delivering a clean single in his first at-bat in the celebrity softball game later in the evening.
