Report: Veteran wideout Kenny Britt visiting Redskins

Veteran wide receiver Kenny Britt is visiting the Redskins on Monday, according to Ian Rapoport.

Veteran WR Kenny Britt is headed to visit the #Redskins today, source said. The former #Patriots, #Browns and #Titans WR had his best season with the #Rams... who had Case Keenum as their starter. Keenum obviously is now in Washington.

Yes indeed WR Kenny Britt will be visiting Redskins Park today as @RapSheet reported earlier. Britt did not play last season after being cut by New England in August.

Britt hasn't played since Week 17 when he was a member of the Patriots. However, as Rapoport observes, the 30-year old had his best season in 2016 with the Rams when Case Keenum was the starting QB the first nine weeks of the season.

Keenum, of course, is now a Redskin, and is expected to compete for Washington's starting quarterback job along with Colt McCoy.

The Redskins are desperate for wide receiver help after losing Jamison Crowder in free agency to the Jets. Britt may not be what Redskins fans are looking for, but at the very least he would provide a veteran presence on the depth chart.

At one point, I wanted the #Redskins to sign Kenny Britt. That was about 4 years ago. https://t.co/olbzWIUZz3
