With the Wild Cards now decided, the divisional round of the Major League Baseball postseason begins. The Washington Nationals and Los Angeles Dodgers begin their National League Division Series in Los Angeles, with Game 1 scheduled for an 8:37 p.m. first pitch from Dodger Stadium.
The Dodgers (106-56) boast MLB's second-best regular season record, while the red-hot Nationals (93-69) are on a tear, winning 11 of their last 12 games, including Tuesday's winner-take-all Wild Card Game against the Brewers, which gained them entrance into the NLDS.
The series features some of the game's best starting pitching, including four potential Cy Young candidates, in Washington's Stephen Strasburg (18-6, 3.32 ERA), and LA's Hyun-Jin Ryu (14-5, 2.32), Clayton Kershaw (16-5, 3.03) and Walker Buehler (14-4, 3.26), as well as two potential MVP candidates in Nats' third baseman Anthony Rendon and Dodgers' outfielder Cody Bellinger.
