Johnny Holliday is "stepping away" from hosting Nats Xtra on MASN, according to the Washington Post's Barry Svrluga.
Johnny Holliday (@hollidaykid) tells me that after 12 years as host of pre- and postgame Nats shows on MASN he is stepping away. At 81 and still the voice of Maryland Terrapins football and basketball, he's earned it.

December 12, 2018 A staple of MASN's pre- and postgame coverage of Nationals games for 12 seasons, Holliday, 81, will remain the voice of Maryland Terrapins football and basketball.
Svrluga speculated MASN's on-field reporter, Dan Kolko, could possibly step in, while a former Nats player could take over Knight's analyst role.
With Ray Knight's contract not renewed, the Nats pre- and postgame shows will have a completely new look. In-house talent @masnKolko deserves an expanded role of some sort. Will be interesting to see if they can find a former Nats player.

Johnny! Always enjoyed running into him at #Nats game & having him bust @DanLaingSXM chops! https://t.co/tzDC1GZxi5

December 12, 2018 One of the classiest guys in the business. I can only hope I'm still alive at 81, let alone working the schedule @hollidaykid does. https://t.co/gTH5solEsf
