One more 'Curly W' to go!
The Nats, after
taking Game 1 and the
next night Game 2 in Houston, dropped three-straight at home to the Astros and looked finish. But then Game 6 happened. And the friendly confines of Minute Maid Park have been perfect for the Nationals.
Despite falling behind 2-1 after a rocky a start,
Stephen Strasburg dominated Houston batters and cruised to an 8 1/3 inning performance and the once-dormant Nationals bats erupted for seven runs with homers from
Adam Eaton, a moon-shot from
Juan Soto, and a two-run blast by
Anthony Rendon (who added an RBI single and a two-run double in the 8th for good measure) gave the Nationals a 7-2 win to extend the
World Series to a Game 7.
And calling all the action: Charlie Slowes and Dave Jageler with the memorable calls on 106.7 The Fan.
