It didn't take long for the Washington Nationals to get their first weather postponement.

Their Opening Day game in Cincinnati, originally scheduled for Thursday, March 29 at 4:10 p.m., has been moved to Friday, March 30 at 4:10 p.m.

Friday was originally an off-day, meaning the three-game series will now be played uninterrupted through the weekend. Cincinnati right-handed pitcher Homer Bailey will still face Washington's two-time-defending Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer as originally scheduled.

Fans can still hear the entire broadcast on 106.7 The Fan, the radio flagship for the Washington Nationals.

After Cincinnati, the Nats travel to Atlanta for a three-game series. The Nationals host the Mets on Thursday, April 5 for their home-opener.

As for the start of the season, after a long winter, Nats fans will just have to wait one more day.
