Junkies have one word to describe Sam Howell ranking 30th in the latest 33rd Team QB rankings: 'Nubbs'

The 33rd Team has put out their quarterback power rankings ahead of NFL Week 5, and once again, no love for Sam Howell. He’s still above Josh Dobbs, as he was this preseason, and he has moved up…to 30th out of 32?

Indeed, it’s just Dobbs and Zach Wilson below the new Slingin’ Sam, and the Junks can’t believe that a website run by numerous former NFL execs are giving Howell no love – but then again, if they have Tua Tagovailoa, who leads the NFL in passing yards, tenth, then EB’s question of “what is their criteria?” is a valid one.

Cakes called the ranking “slanderous,” noting “Kenny Pickett, who is garbage, is 28th!”

“This is a felonious list,” Bish replied.

JP read the write=up on Howell, which says “no quarterback has been as volatile as Sam Howell this season – every game is either a dream or a nightmare – and I can’t get all the way there with Howell until the consistency improves.”

So what say you, Junks?

“He’s been inconsistent, but two games were pretty good, one was decent, one was a catastrophe,” EB said.

“He’s had a C, a couple As, and an F – has Bryce Young had an A,” Bish asked. “It’s a felonious list.”

Derek Carr being 20th, after being “super mediocre” per Cakes, just makes the list worse, although with all the NFL cred the site has, it’s Derrik Klassen – an accounting major turned NFL Draft film analyst? – whose name is on the article.

And yeah, again, Tua 10th and some of the shenanigans around it are enough for some of the guys to declare the list ‘nubbs.’

“In what world, at least this season, is Joe Burrow the 11th best quarterback in the league?” Cakes said to hammer the point home. “I know he’s dealing with an injury, but how about you adjust your ranks as you go through the season?”

Howell DID move up from 31 last week, at least?
