May 7, 2018 Nicklas Backstrom did not participate in the Capitals' morning skate in Pittsburgh Monday, triggering significant line changes from coach Barry Trotz ahead of Game 6.
Travis Boyd is waiting on the bench in a red jersey. He’s been a place holder before for T.J. Oshie these playoffs. But don’t see Nicklas Backstrom (upper body) on the ice yet for #Caps morning skate.

May 7, 2018 Suffering an upper body injury in the Caps' Game win on Saturday, Backstrom left in the third period and did not return.
Backstrom hasn't been officially ruled out, though. Trotz says he will be a game-time decision.
Is Nick Backstrom playing tonight? “That will be a game-time decision” Barry Trotz says. He’s being tight lipped. Won’t even say if Nathan Walker is playing.
