There is no Groundhog Day or Punxsutawney Phil for the NFL, but this could be the closest thing to an annual February tradition: The oddsmakers in Las Vegas are predicting another season of pain for Washington Redskins fans.
Despite the Redskins having
one of the easiest schedules, the oddsmakers are expecting Washington to win fewer games in 2020 than they did in 2019. According to BetOnline, the Skins over/under on wins is set at 5.5 for
Ron Rivera's first season in charge of the franchise, a full game below the win total for the 2019 season.
That 5.5 puts them at the bottom of the league, joined by the Cincinnati Bengals and Miami Dolphins.

February 5, 2020 Of course, while the number is low, the odds are actually not that appealing for optimistic Redskins fans as the over opened at -150 and the under at +120. Good value for those exceptionally pessimistic fans or those who want an emotional hedge.
Now, for those fans who feel very optimistic about
Dwayne Haskins' sophomore season in the league, Washington's odds to win Super Bowl LV are quite tasty, they opened at +15000 across multiple sports betting sites, the longest odds in the NFL.
To round out the NFC East: The Giants opened at 6.5 wins (O -130/U +100) and +6600 to win the Super Bowl, the Cowboys are offered at 9 wins (O -125/U -105) and +2000, and the Eagles, who are seen to be the class of the division, are at 10 wins (O -115/U -115) and +1700 to be World Champions.
