The second overall selection in 2012, Griffin led the Redskins to the playoffs in his rookie season and was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

"He came in last week, worked out, had a real good workout," Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome said in a press conference Wednesday announcing the deal. "And we were able to come to an agreement late yesterday. He will probably be here early next week to sign the deal."
