Madden ratings may not have much impact on real NFL games, but for the players, they can serve as a point of validation, or alternatively extra motivation to prove the video game designers wrong.
In Madden 20,
Haskins' rating is a 72, the second-highest rating among rookie QBs, only trailing Cardinals QB and No. 1 overall pick Kyler Murray.

July 1, 2019 "I'm coming for the 90s next year," Haskins tweeted when the rookie ratings were released Monday.
For some perspective, only four quarterbacks had a rating of at least 90 in Madden 19: Aaron Rodgers (99), Tom Brady (99), Russell Wilson (92), and Drew Brees (91). Haskins certainly has high expectations for himself, giving Redskins fans another reason to get excited to see Haskins don the burgundy and gold.
And Redskins fans will also get some joy seeing Giants QB Daniel Jones' 63 rating. In fact, Jones initially thought he'd be in the 70s or 80s!
