It has finally happened.

Not long after The Fan celebrated Bruce Allen’s 10-year anniversary with the Redskins, owner Daniel Snyder fired the team president Monday.
The longtime front office executive was relieved of his duties following the team’s loss to the Cowboys on Sunday, leaving the team with a 3-13 record to end the 2019 regular season. Snyder’s announcement Monday said Allen is “no longer with the organization,” ending speculation that Snyder might keep Allen in the front office in a different role.
The news was seemingly a late holiday gift for Redskins fans.

Clinton Portis on the firing of Bruce Allen: "I think the fans voice is stronger than they realize. Often the fans have a movement or ask for something and then they get it." #Redskins

Bruce Allen fired finally. Hopefully the #Redskins are on the right track for next season. A lot of talent on the offense that needs a head coach that knows what to do with them. Got the 2nd draft pick and sky's the limit. Next season looking brighter. #HTTR

106.7 The Fan’s Craig Hoffman anticipates the team will hire Ron Rivera to be its next coach and fill its front office once that deal is finalized.

As just stated on @JunksRadio - if there’s more power coming for Eric Schaefer and others in the #Redskins front office they don’t know the details yet, per source. Bruce was fired and they’ll hire Rivera and fill in the details from there.

NBC Sports Washington's JP Finlay said in addition to hiring a new coach, the team could make changes to its training staff.

All the focus is on a new coach and new front office, but I’m also told to expect some changes to Redskins training/rehab staff. Head trainer Larry Hess is safe but others could be gone as soon as today, per sources.

Nonetheless, it appears the fan base was quite energized for a Monday morning.
