January 24, 2019 Horton, 58, has been out of football the past two seasons since being fired by the Browns after the 2016 season. He has also coordinated defenses for the Titans (2014-15), Cardinals (2011-12) and in a previous stop with the Browns in 2013.
106.7 The Fan's Grant Paulsen was first to report the Redskins' offer to Horton.
Sources tell me the Redskins are offering their DB's job to Ray Horton. I'm told they like the idea of making him their defensive pass game coordinator as well.Horton was a defensive coordinator from 2011 to 2017 in Arizona and Cleveland. Was out of football last season.
