Kyshoen Jarrett is now a full-time Redskins coach.
Jarrett, a former Redskins defensive back who suffered a career-ending injury at the end of the 2015 season, was named Washington's defensive quality control coach Tuesday.
OPINION: This is f’ing awesome. Kyshoen is such a great dude and such an inspiring person. The Skins him around is a testament to his character. Him earning this job is a testament to his fortitude.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) May 7, 2019Determined to stay in football despite the injury, Jarrett was hired by the Redskins as a defensive intern in 2018. And now, he's earned a promotion.
"Kyshoen was a valuable asset to our coaching staff last season,” Jay Gruden said in the team's release. “He is a quality coach and a quality person and I have complete trust in him succeeding in this new role.”
