Redskins official 53-man roster

The Washington Redskins have made their cuts and have a 53-man roster one week ahead of the 2019 NFL Season.

Some big names were among the 37 players who were released Saturday including former first-round draft pick wide receiver Josh Doctson, former fourth-round pick running back Samaje Perine, and WR Cam Sims.
Here is how head coach Jay Gruden's Redskins roster will break down, first, the offense: 25 players
Quarterbacks: Case Keenum, Colt McCoy, Dwayne Haskins
Running Back: Adrian Peterson, Derrius Guice, Chris Thompson, Wendell Smallwood (the Redskins claimed off waivers from the Eagles, Sunday, Sept. 1)
Wide Receiver: Paul Richardson, Trey Quinn, Terry McLaurin, Kelvin Harmon, Robert Davis, Steven Sims
Tight End: Jordan Reed, Vernon Davis, Jeremy Sprinkle
Offensive Line: Morgan Moses, Brandon Scherff, Chase Roullier, Wes Martin, Donald Penn, Geron Christian, Ross Pierschbacher, Ereck Flowers, Tony Bergstrom

Now the defense: 25 players

Defensive Line: Jon Allen, Daron Payne, Matt Ioannidis, Tim Settle, Caleb Brantley, Treyvon Hester (team announced signing from Eagles, Monday, Sept 2.)
Outside Linebackers: Ryan Kerrigan, Montez Sweat, Ryan Anderson, Cassanova McKinzy.
Inside Linebackers: Jon Bostic, Cole Holcomb, Shaun-Dion Hamilton, Josh Harvey-Clemons, Tanner Vallejo (team claimed off waivers from Cardinals, Monday, Sept 2.)
Cornerback: Josh Norman, Quinton Dunbar, Fabian Moreau, Jimmy Moreland, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Greg Stroman
Safety: Landon Collins, Montae Nicholson, Deshazor Everett, Troy Apke
