The Redskins made two transactions Monday to shore up the offensive line, exercising a 2019 option for Pro Bowl guard Brandon Scherff and re-signing veteran Tony Bergstrom.
Scherff now becomes one of the highest-paid players at his position.
Bergstrom, 31, was signed in 2017 amid a flurry of injuries on the Redskins line. He appeared in nine games for the Redskins, making three starts at center, and brings stability to the interior line.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
