The Redskins made a flurry of moves Wednesday, signing four players and placing three on season-ending injured reserve: CB Quinton Dunbar, WR Trey Quinn and G Jonathan Cooper.

Taking their place on Washington's roster will be QB Josh Johnson, C Demetrius Rhaney, G Zac Kerin and DE Marcus Smith.

Johnson will take over as Washington's backup quarterback behind Mark Sanchez, while Rhaney and Kerin could very well see the field Sunday against the Giants given the Redskins' injuries along the offensive line.

Dunbar started the year off well, but was slowed by a shin injury that forced him to miss several games and finally has ended his season. Quinn already missed eight games this season while on IR, appearing in just three in his first NFL season.

Trey Quinn has legitimate talent. But there was lots of talk about his ascent and how expendable Jamison Crowder has become. Quinn was constantly unavailable as a rookie. He needs to play a few games in a row before we start talking about him as a long-term fixture.

Cooper joined Washington after Shawn Lauvao and Brandon Scherff both went down with season-ending injuries, but tore his bicep in the loss to the Eagles Monday night.

Rhaney is a four-year veteran who spent some time with the Redskins last season. Kerin last saw NFL action with the Lions in 2017, while Smith has 6.5 career sacks after four seasons in Philadelphia and Seattle.

With the additions of Quinn, Dunbar and Cooper, the Redskins' injured reserve list now includes 17 players.
