Antonio Brown made another media appearance, this time on the podcast 'I AM ATHELTE' to talk about a number of things. The one soundbite that caught everyone's attention was when he named dropped the next quarterback he wants to play with.

Brown was asked by former NFL wideout Brandon Marshall who is the one quarterback he wants to play for next. His answer was Baltimore Ravens dynamo Lamar Jackson.

“Lamar Jackson,” Brown said.

“That’s who you want to play for?” Marshall. “Action Jackson,” Brown said. “Let’s give Lamar Jackson his flowers. … Shout out Lamar Jackson. That’s it. Lamar Jackson is a great quarterback. Not only him throwing the ball, the dynamic of him playing, the excitement.”

Jackson caught wind of the interview and responded by retweeting the interview with a smiling devil horns emoji, which is used to convey some sort of mischief or plotting.

This is not the first time Brown was rumored to want to sign with the Baltimore Ravens. In April of 2020, a video emerged of Jackson working out with AB and his cousin Marquise Brown. Afterward, Jackson was asked if he would like the Ravens to sign Brown to the roster.

“I’d be happy if they signed him,” he said of Brown, who was coming off a tumultuous 2019 season in which he’d been traded from the Pittsburgh Steelers to Oakland. Instead, Brown was released and signed with the New England Patriots. He was of course then released after one game due to mounting allegations of sexual harassment against him.

“He’s a great player. He showed it each and every year when he was with the Steelers in the past, but it’s not my decision.”

That same year, AB added even more speculation when he posted a photo of himself wearing a Ravens jersey on his Snapchat.

Although I think it would be interesting to see how Jackson and Brown would do together on the same team, it is quite far-fetched to see Baltimore adding a guy like Brown and the reputation he carries.
