We've officially gotten through the worst slate of the NFL season in terms of bye weeks, with the Bills, Cowboys, Jaguars, Chargers, Vikings and Steelers all taking breathers in Week 7. But that doesn't mean the road to a fantasy championship will get any easier, as seven more weeks of byes remain and injuries continue to deplete the fantasy landscape from reaching its full star potential.

The latest news out of Green Bay is that it will be a rough week ahead for Davante Adams owners — and anyone who wanted to scoop up Allen Lazard — as they both landed on the COVID list with only a couple of days to spare before the Packers' Thursday night matchup with the Arizona Cardinals. In fact, we were so eager to pick up Lazard that we included him in our video this time around as a priority waiver pickup when we recorded on Monday. It goes without saying that this should not be the case anymore, and it paying attention to Marquez Valdes-Scantling's progress in returning from the IR will be of peak importance before determining who to go for. Robert Tonyan is another name who should get a big workload on Thursday night, and it's doubtful that there will be any other tight ends available that have a higher floor and ceiling than him.
