The Capitals fell to the Bruins Wednesday night in double overtime when Boston winger Craig Smith scored the game-winning goal after apparent miscommunication from Caps goalie Ilya Samsonov and defenseman Justin Schultz.

Washington now trails Boston 2-1 heading into Game 4 Friday night, and Sports Junkies co-host John Auville cannot understate how pivotal it is for the Caps to tie up the series, calling the matchup Washington's "biggest game of the decade."

Momentum has shifted in favor of the Bruins after Washington dropped the last two games, with both defeats coming in extra time.

Washington picked up the Game 1 victory on Saturday night after Nic Dowd's game-winner. In Game 2, it was the Bruins Brad Marchand taking the mantle as the overtime hero, giving Boston the victory just 39 seconds into the overtime period.

After dropping their second-straight overtime loss on Tuesday, Capitals star Alex Ovechkin was visibly frustrated, snapping his stick on the bench.

With tempers flaring and the series falling out of reach, the Caps need to muster up a victory in enemy territory in Game 4, and re-take control of home-ice.
