The Capitals are in the throes of a losing skid at a crucial part of their season that now has them outside the playoffs looking in.
Capitals winger Garnet Hathaway says the key for them turning around their season will be to treat every day as the "most important day of the season" moving forward.
Hathaway joined 106.7 The Fan's Brian Mitchell and JP Finlay during his weekly appearance, driven by Lindsay Volvo Cars of Alexandria.
"It's so cliché and it's Bill Belichick-esque but it's day by day," Hathaway said. "We can't look past tonight at all. We need to play our best game tonight."
"Every day from now on will be the most important day of the season," he said, "and that's how we have to kind of show up to the rink and have that mindset."
