NHL releases schedule for Capitals-Canadiens first-round series
The NHL has announced the full first-round schedule for the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and the Capitals' quest for the Cup will begin Monday at Capital One Arena.
Per the league, Game 1 of the Caps-Habs series will be Monday, April 21, at 7 p.m. at Cap One, with Game 2 on Wednesday, April 23 at 7 p.m.
Both of those games will be televised on ESPN.
Games 3 and 4 at Bell Centre in Montreal will be on Turner Networks, with Game 3 Friday, April 25 at 7 p.m., and Game 4 Sunday, April 27 at 6:30 p.m. Games 5-7 would then be on April 30, May 2, and May 4, if necessary, with game times and broadcast details TBD as the first round evolves.
Washington finishes their regular-season schedule in Pittsburgh on Thursday night, with coverage beginning at 6:45 p.m. om 106.7 The Fan. Montreal finished their season Wednesday with a 4-2 win over Carolina that clinched the final playoff spot.
