Will Ovi's Chase for 895 end this year? John Walton weighs in on if it's weighing on Alex

Good news for our man Cakes, who has tickets to the Capitals' road game against the Islanders on April 6: the model put together by our favorite stats geek, Neil Greenberg, says that game is, right now, the most likely to see Alex Ovechkin's Chase for 895 reach the finish line!

Bad news for everyone: Neil's model also has three road games in the Top 5 picks, and a 15 percent chance it doesn't happen – which, as our own play-by-play voice John Walton told BMitch & Finlay Friday, is just one of those things you can't control.

The Caps have clinched a playoff berth after Thursday's win, and while they still have seeding and maybe a President's Cup to shoot for, this WOULD normally be a time where some guys get a little bit more of a breather than others…except, you know, when one guy is six goals away from tying an all-time record?

"We're right on the edge, but it's getting down to those last couple games where, if you look at the math, 0.5 0r 0.55 goals per game, it's down really to that last game of the year." Walton said. "But I think you will see some guys get rested just for load management."

Listen to Walton's entire visit above!
