Another Feinstein Friday for the Junkies, and this was John’s take on the end of the era with Stephen Strasburg retiring from baseball:

“It’s one of those ‘what-if?’ careers, which is unfair to do, but I was there the night he debuted against the Pirates in 2010, and I’ve said to people it was the first time since the Nationals came to town that they really mattered,” Feinstein said. “The Nationals were a losing team, but he was unbelievable that night – and if someone had told you that night he’s only have 113 MLB victories, you’d have laughed at them, but injuries are a part of sports.”

That led into a discussion about Shohei Ohtani maybe needing a second Tommy John surgery, so take a listen to what John had to say about that, the Yankees' struggles and front office future, college football kickoff, and more below!
