Rizzo — and wife Jodi Fick — welcomed Santino 'Sonny' Joseph Rizzo into the world, sharing the moment on social media on Thursday.

Rizzo, 62, and Fick were engaged to be married when the Nationals won the World Series title in 2019.

Rizzo has a son, Michael Jr., from a previous relationship. Rizzo's father Phil, also a former minor league player (same as Mike), was a professional baseball scout and eventual senior advisor to the Nationals. Phil Rizzo was able to see his son win the World Series before his passing in Feb. 2020 at 90 years old.

Mike Rizzo is coming up on 17 years with the Nationals organization after being hired away from the Arizona Diamondback in July 2006. He was promoted to interim general manager in March 2009 and was later promoted to full-time GM in August of that same year.
