Nationals to open 2025 at home against Phillies, close at home against White Sox
For the first time since 2010, the Nats will have an I-95 division rivalry opener in 2025.
Major League Baseball unveiled its 2025 schedule Thursday, and on Opening Day, March 27, Nationals Park will see Game 1 of a three-game set between the Nationals and Phillies, and a one-series homestand before the Nats head to Toronto for their first inter-league series of the season.
There is one other big piece of news in the schedule release too: MLB has expanded inter-league rivalry series back to six games, so the Battle of the Beltway with the Orioles will see the Nats host the Orioles from April 22-24, and then go to Baltimore May 16-18.
Among other notables, the Red Sox come to town for a three-game series July 4-6, spend the week ahead of the All-Star break right after, and then have a two-week stretch in August where they play the Phillies and Mets at home, then go to Philly before playing at Yankee Stadium from Aug.
25-27.
The final series of the regular season will be at home, against the White Sox Sept. 26-28.
