PHOTOS: Nats fans wear defaced Bryce Harper jerseys at Opening Day

Yeah, yeah. Since you been gone. Nats fans can breathe for the first time. 

But are they moving on? 


Baseball jerseys are hardly cheap these days and sometimes it is difficult to say goodbye to a classic. Especially one that you wore during some wonderful times.

These Washington Nationals fans showed up to Opening Day rocking some familiar threads, but with some decidedly homemade additions.

Yes, D.C.'s newest fashion trend is the defaced Bryce Harper jersey. And they were quite prevalent around Nationals Park on Thursday.

Fans at the Nats' home opener got very creative with their messages. Some were more profane than others, but all had the same general theme: Now we get what we want, since you been gone.
