The Nationals were blanked 7-0 by the Brewers on Friday, but still had the highlight of the night in the lopsided defeat.
In the bottom of the seventh, the game was still very much up for grabs with Milwaukee leading 2-0, but the Brewers were rallying with runners on first and second and nobody out. But Washington reliever Carl Edwards Jr. forced Luis Urias to bounce a grounder right to Maikel Franco at third, who stepped on the bag and whipped a throw to second, where Cesar Hernandez fired a throw to first for the 5-4-3 triple play to get out of the inning with one pitch.
For the Nats, it was their first triple play in six years, when Ryan Zimmerman and Anthony Rendon turned one back in 2016.
