Scherzer's Back In Form
Nine starts into his season Max Scherzer seems to have finally hit his stride, pitching seven scoreless innings in Monday's 6-1 win over Tampa. At 36 years old, Grant & Danny suggest that while Scherzer still possesses dominant stuff, it may be the case that he's not able to have those dominant outings as frequently as we're used to seeing anymore.
Brock Holt Is... Good?
After going hitless in his first four games with the Nats, leaving many to wonder why he was even added to the roster, Brock Holt is suddenly pouring it on. The veteran infielder has exploded with 10 hits over what is now a four-game hit streak, averaging .625 at the plate in that span, bringing his season average with Washington to .385 in eight games.
