You knew going into Sunday’s Week 9 game between the New York Giants and Washington Football Team that it was not going to be the crispest football to be played. It did not take long for both those teams to prove that point.
Early in the first quarter, Washington’s Antonio Gibson fumbled the football. What happened next was something straight out of the “Little Giants.”
Players from both teams pounced on the ball and tried picking it up, to no avail. The ball continued to get booted down the field with failed attempt after failed attempt until finally the Giants made the recovery.
Of course, with this game being between the two bottom feeders of the lowly NFC East, everyone on social media decided to make the same joke.
Others roasted the teams without making the NFC East joke.
Of course, the official Giants Twitter account decided to have a little fun with it. After all, they were the ones who came out the ball after all the chaos.
