Chris Russell was wearing a scarf today, which qualified as breaking news in BMitch and Finlay’s world, and it was a big deal when the guys had Rooster come in to grill him about his photo on the interwebs yesterday of JP and Landfill joining him on his show.
Also big news: Rooster does not think the Commanders should trade up for Cleb Willimas.
“They should not do it; I think he's a great athlete, I think he's gonna be a good quarterback, and I think he's gonna be a pain in the ass to deal with,” Rooster said, “but here’s the deal: maybe I’m scarred from the Robert Griffin experience, but there was a story every other day about him or somebody around him. His father seems very involved, and I don't like anybody that paints their fingernails with F Utah and then loses to Utah. That’s not my cup of tea.”
It’s not so much the painting – BMitch used to do it like catchers do in baseball – it’s what was painted, and Rooster doesn’t think ‘F Dallas’ or whatever will fly.
“I like the F Utah thing better than the crying at the Notre Dame game,” JP said.
“That didn't bother me as much…I mean, it was awkward, but that didn't bother me as much because that just showed real emotion,” Rooster replied.
Other breaking news: Rooster thinks ‘eventually’ the Capitals and Wizards end up in Alexandria.
“I think people saying it was dead or whatever is far too premature, just like yesterday's dog and pony show about, ‘oh, we'll never do this and we'll never do that,’” Chris said. “I’m not an expert obviously and things will be twisted, manipulated, whatever…it’s all a bunch of hogwash. And by the way, can these Congressmen from, like, Roanoke or wherever shut the bleep up?”
Not when it’s about control of the money, as BMitch said, but Rooster ain’t buying it.
“Nobody cares about you,” Chris said. “Somebody has given them too much control, and I don’t care of people south of Richmond. The rest of Virginia is just useless to me!”
Looks like we know who WON’T be doing any Virginia Tech sports coverage for us anytime soon…
