The BMitch & Finlay crew is pretty unified in not wanting Bill Belichick in DC

Bill Belichick to DC has been a rumor for weeks, but now we know it can happen without any delay or tampering because Bill and the Patriots have ;mutually parted ways' as of Thursday.

So, yeah, do you want him here?

"It's largely BS coming from one person – Mike Florio has been saying it, but I've been repeatedly told they're not," said JP Finlay. "So should they go after him?"

"No," BMitch replied quickly. "Josh Harris just stated he wants a director of football operations and then a coach, and Belichick is at a point in his career where anybody above him is gonna feel a little, like, 'I don't know if I could really go tell coach this' or whatever. And, Bill has not run the draft very well, and we don't need to see that again. So, I say no, based off of the fact that they stated they want the head of football operations, then they want to get a coach, and I think you have to understand that when you bring in some coaches who already have a certain level of experience and expertise, they're not gonna want to listen to that person all the time."

"I pretty much agree with everything BMitch just said there," Landfill added. "I think if you bring in Bill Belichick, realistically, he's gonna be running things, and I don't think that that approach has particularly worked out. I don't even think it worked out that well in New England when they didn't have Tom Brady; it's easy to look like all your moves are genius when you have one of the best quarterbacks ever, who can really cover up for a lot of things there, and they played in a trash division for 20 years."

Scott Pioli and others had a hand in things at times, as BMitch recalled, but yes, once it was all Bill, things went downhill – and as Landfill said, a lot of Patriots players didn't find success elsewhere either, so there's a lot of concern.

What says Jeff Walker?

"If we were to pick up Bill Belichick, it would feel like we're still in the Dan Snyder era," Jeff said. "We go get everyone once their team is through with them…I used to call us a sloppy seconds organization. We have left the rebound girl, we good – let's go find love on any other dating app, not just the grandmother in the alley."

Seems like a consensus no, although Landfill did chime in with "all that being said, if they did get him, I wouldn't be too upset, because it would still be kind of cool to have one of the greatest head coaches ever."

"Nah, we don't need all that," BMitch laughed. "We can get somebody else and build it up and keep moving."
