BMitch & Finlay: Deebo Samuel trade 'an easy home run' for Commanders

BMitch and Finlay kicked off Monday’s show with their initial reactions to the Deebo Samuel trade, as the Commanders acquired the Pro Bowl wide receiver for a fifth-round pick over the weekend.

While some fans have been skeptical of what Samuel can still be at 29 years old and multiple injuries, Finlay believes this trade by Adam Peters is an easy one to praise, and was a no-brainer given the asking price.

“To me, this is an easy home run,” Finlay said. “They get a chance to take a really good looking woman on a date, and all they gotta pay for is the happy hour.

“I feel like the fanbase is generally all in on this. Is there room for skepticism? Sure…but he would have been Washington’s second leading receiver last year, and that was a down season for him.”

BMitch is in full agreement, and says the price is everything when it comes to this trade. Samuel has a proven track record and his upside is undeniable, and one late-round pick to add him to Washington’s already high-powered offense is basically nothing.

“Whenever they make a move and we talk about them, we say ‘For the right price.’ I think it was a damn good price,” BMitch said.

“If you get the best out of him, home run. And if you don’t, you didn’t spend a lot for it.”
