Is the Commanders' glass half full or half empty? BMitch & Finlay's Twitter poll says the former

After watching Friday's preseason opener, JP Finlay had a great idea for a Twitter poll Monday: Is the glass half full, or half empty, for the Commanders?

More than 75 percent of the 2,211 votes cast said "half full," and, well, while you could argue that even that means it's time for a refill, there's no doubt the vibe has changed.

"I think for so many people, just the change in ownership has changed the outlook," JP said. "I know that's not going to last, and there are some people who will never root for them until they change the name back or whatever, but 75 percent say it's half-full."

JP then went to Chief BS Officer Jim Andrew Mullins aka Landfill aka Landini aka the producer of the show, who is hard to please when it comes to the Commanders…and he agreed.

"I'd go half-full; they have a new owner, new OC, new QB getting an opportunity, there's definitely a lot of reasons to be optimistic here," Landfill said.

White Mike, filling in for Jeff 2 Funny today on the board, agreed, and as for Brian Mitchell, well…being a former player now in the media, he understands that it's not just the on-field product – in fact, what Josh Harris is already doing, with both the fans and media, has gone a long way to change the vibe.

"I was covered by media for years and now I'm in it, and I always understood they had a job to do so I took my time with them – and I gave in-depth answers," BMitch said. "But when something negative happened, they gave me the benefit of the doubt – and when I got on this side of it, I understood what it took. What Josh Harris does on a regular basis, people remember that. They'll remember that you didn't act like you're too good for them.
Those little things work, even if they don't last forever."

JP Finlay corroborated that, talking about how he saw Harris sitting in the stands in Cleveland Friday, and when he asked him about it, the owner wasn't shy about explaining why.

"It was raining – he didn't have to sit in the stands, but he did, and he had his son with him too," JP said. "I asked him about that after and he said family is everything to me. This is our family, and this is how it's going to be."
