Carson Wentz could be out as much as six weeks with fractured finger

Carson Wentz reportedly suffered a fractured finger during Thursday night’s game against the Bears, and Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan reports that the recovery time could take as much has six weeks.

Wentz, who has struggled in his first season with the Commanders after a difficult season with the Colts, is set to see another doctor on Monday, when more will be revealed about his recovery timeline.

Taylor Heinicke would likely take over as the starting quarterback while Wentz is out.

The Washington offense with Wentz at the helm is currently the fourth worst offense in the league in yards per passing attempt.
