The Commanders in fact kept the No. 29 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and used it to select OT Josh Conerly Jr. from Oregon.

Conerly, who stands 6-foot-5 and 311 pounds, graded out on NFL.com at a 6.36 prospect grade – ‘will eventually be a plus starter’ – and a 80 grade (‘good’) on NextGen Stats, fourth-best among tackles at the Combine.

The junior played in 41 games for the Ducks over the last three seasons, including 28 straight starts at left tackle in 2023 and 2024. He was a Third Team AP All-American and First Team All-Big Ten selection last year, and a finalist for the Joe Moore Award, given to the nation’s top offensive lineman.

Per PFF, Conerly allowed only two sacks on 1,007 pass protection snaps over those last two years as well.
