Commanders sign WR Michael Gallup

Michael Gallup is back in the NFL, as he officially signed with the Commanders Thursday after visiting with the team earlier this month. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Gallup, 29, spent his first six seasons NFL seasons with Dallas, but retired after the 2023 season. The Cowboys released him from their reserve/retired list when he made his intentions to return known.

The third-round pick of the Cowboys in 2018 had 34 catches for 418 yards and two TDs in 2023, and 266 catches for 3,744 yards and 21 TD in 86 career games.

He joins Deebo Samuel as additions to the WR room this offseason, and the Commanders have also re-signed Noah Brown and K.J. Osborn to complement returnees Terry McLaurin and Luke McCaffrey.
