Connor Rogers gives G&D an idea of what could happen if Javon Kinlaw plays to his potential

The Commanders made a big splash just minutes into the NFL’s legal tampering period that began at noon ET Monday, signing former Niners and Jets DT Javon Kinlaw to a three-year, $45 million deal.

Grant & Danny had Connor Rogers, who hosts Jets pregame and postgame coverage on SNY, on the show Monday, and after Antwan Staley of the Daily News gave the down side of the deal, Rogers had this to say on the positive tip:

"He’s somebody you're going to rotate. I like his ability as a power rusher. If this is a defense that can get teams into third and long, he can stay on the field for you. When the Jets ran stunts or twists, he looked good. The sheer size of this guy is unbelievable, but he can move for his size, and he can be a capable pocket-pushing pass rusher.”

That said, he did also have some concerns like Staley:

"I'm not going to lie, it surprised me a little bit. The biggest issue for me was just not defending the run responsibly. There's flashes [as a pass rusher], hopefully a new environment brings out the best in him."
