In his last mock draft at the end of November, The Athletic’s Dane Brugler had the Commanders at No. 5 taking Penn State OT Ole Fashanu – but since then, the Commanders have moved up a spot to No. 4, where Brugler had Notre Dame OT Joe Alt going to Chicago.
Brugler joined Grant & Danny on a football Thursday as they were live from Rudy’s in Alexandria, and while he mentioned that offensive tackle is going to be a big run early in the Draft no matter who is picking and where, for the Commanders…
“They’re picking Top 7 for a reason, so could a quarterback be on the table?” Brugler asked. “Plenty of moving parts here when it comes to this organization, but you have to feel good about where you’re picking in this draft in terms of getting an impact player you feel comfortable with. This is one of those drafts where it is absolutely going to be a good thing to pick in the Top 7.”
Take a listen as Brugler goes through his thoughts on the quarterback class as a whole, especially Jayden Daniels as QB3 in the group, the difference between the top offensive tackles, and the best defenders in a class filled with offensive stars.
