Grant: Give me Commanders dome over RFK Stadium site
Much of the debate on The Fan on Tuesday was whether or not the Commanders new stadium should be a dome, a traditional outdoor stadium, or have a retractable roof.
Grant says he likes the idea of a dome, even if it means taking the team out of the DC area.
“If the option is an outdoor stadium at the RFK site, or stadium with the option of a closed roof - retractable or dome - in Maryland or Virginia, we’re going to Maryland or Virginia,” Grant said.
“This is our shot at a Super Bowl or March Madness…there’s so many more possibilities with a roof.”
Many fans disagree, but Grant maintains that the opportunity to bring in other big events, while not having to worry about the elements when going to a game, make it very enticing.
“Seventy-two degrees. So nice,” Grant said. “I am actually a big, big fan of the indoor baseball game as well.”
