Jayden Daniels near unanimous choice for AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year

It’s official, and was nearly unanimous: Jayden Daniels is the AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year!

Daniels received 49 of 50 first-place votes, the other going to Raiders tight end Brock Bowers, to run away with the award after a freshman season that saw him lead the Commanders to a 12-5 record and the NFC Championship Game.

Jayden also won the NFL Honors Moment of the Year Award for the "Hail Jayden" against the Bears.

The No. 2 pick in the Draft threw for 3,568 yards and 25 TD, with a 100.1 rating, and also had 891 rushing yards and six scores on the ground.

Bowers got 32 second-place votes to place second, with Broncos quarterback Bo Nix third, Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. fourth, and Giants wideout Malik Nabers fifth.

Bucs RB Bucky Irving, Patriots QB Drake Maye, Chargers OT Joe Alt and WR Ladd McConkey, and Bears QB Caleb Williams also received votes and finished sixth through tenth, in that order.
