Just one year after finishing 4-13 and having no Pro Bowlers, the Commanders have two and almost a dozen of alternates.
Official nods were announced Thursday, and both QB Jayden Daniels and WR Terry McLaurin have been named to 2025 Pro Bowlers, the first time the franchise has sent a QB and WR to the Pro Bowl in the same season since 1991, and the first time they’ve had two offensive players of any kind since 2017.
Daniels, the No. 2 overall pick, is the first Washington rookie to earn a Pro Bowl nod since Chase Young 2020, and first offensive rookie and QB to do it since RG3 in 2012. He enters Week 18 at Dallas having completed 69.4 percent of his passes for 3,530 yards, with 25 TD against 9 INT, and he has 144 carries for 864 yards and six touchdowns.
McLaurin earned his second Pro Bowl nod, his first coming in 2022, and he’s the first Commanders WR to earn multiple Pro Bowl nods since Gary Clark earned his second in the 1990 season. He enters Week 18 at Dallas with 74 catches for 1,034 yards and 12 touchdowns, the most in the NFC and tied for the most in a single-season in franchise history.
The Commanders also have 11 alternates, who will be elevated as necessary due to drop outs: ST Nick Bellore, LS Tyler Ott, and LB Bobby Wagner, first alternates; C Tyler Biadasz, OLB Frankie Luvu, and P Tress Way, second alternates; KR Austin Ekeler, OLB Dante Fowler, and ST Jeremy Reaves, third alternates; and S Jeremy Chinn and TE Zach Ertz, fifth alternates.
