Texans reporter Jon Alexander tells G&D that Laremy Tunsil is still a 'premier left tackle'

The Commanders made a second huge deal of the offseason on Monday, agreeing to acquire five-time Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil from the Texans for a handful of draft picks.

In visiting with Grant & Danny to discuss the deal, the Houston Chronicle’s Jonathan Alexander explained how the Tunsil deal was due in part to him being due soon for a big contract when Houston has several other players to pay coming up…so it literally might have been robbery for the Commanders.

“He's still a stud. He was one of their best players. He doesn't give up sacks – he only gave up two last year – and he hasn't had any bad seasons,” Alexander said. “I'd say he's a premier left tackle, probably a Top 4 or 5 tackle in the league right now; definitely a Pro Bowler and an All-Pro type of player. I don't see him slowing down.”
