Junkies: Should be no surprise that Jayden Daniels stayed after practice to work with Noah Brown

Jayden Daniels spent time after practice with new wide receiver Noah Brown on Thursday, shortly after the wideout was signed to be the rookie quarterback’s newest target.

According to head coach Dan Quinn, it was Daniels’ idea to stay late and get some work in with his new teammate, as the No. 2 pick continues to blossom into a leader on the field before playing a single NFL snap.

For The Sports Junkies, Daniels orchestrating some extra work with Brown should be a shock to nobody given how he has carried himself since arriving in Washington.

“A lot of people were making a big deal about Jayden Daniels and him staying after practice to work on their game and connection, Cakes said. “I just think that’s who [Daniels] is, man. I’m not surprised at all. “It’s a great sign, but I don’t think anyone should be surprised. This guy Jayden is passing every test. Just absolutely love this guy and his work ethic.”

Daniels has received rave reviews from coaches and teammates throughout training camp, and his extra work with Brown only has the Junkies more excited to see Daniels’ debut in Week 1.

“That’s what his character is,” JP said. “He has a new wide receiver in the room, he wants to get familiar with him before the season starts, and you put in the extra work. Love to see that from a young player.”
