The Commanders look to have their WR room nearly complete, as multiple members of the Washington beat are reporting the team is re-signing Noah Brown to a one-year contract worth up to $4.5 million, and also re-upping KJ Osborn to a one-deal (no terms disclosed).
Brown was signed at the end of training camp after being cut by the Texans, and he had 35 catches (on 56 targets) for 453 yards and a touchdown – that notably being the “Hail Jayden” to beat Chicago” in 11 games before an internal injury ended his season.
Over seven seasons with Washington, Houston, and Dallas, the 29-year-old has exactly 150 catches for 2,000 yards and six TDs.
Osborn was claimed off waivers from the Patriots in December, and only appeared in one game, taking 19 offensive snaps in the Week 17 overtime win against Atlanta. The former fifth-round pick of Minnesota in 2020 has 165 catches for 1.902 yards and 16 TD in 67 career games with the Vikings, Patriots, and Commanders.
With the addition of Deebo Samuel and these re-signings, the Commanders now have a five-man receiver group of Terry McLaurin, Samuel, Brown, Osborn, and Luke McCaffrey under contract.
