Could Commanders trade back out of No. 29? If so, Sam Bruchhaus has ideas who might want in
We have two more days of wondering what the Commanders will do at No. 29 before the pick comes, and they either make a selection – which, in itself, carries a few options – or make a trade up or down the board.
When Sam Bruchhaus visited Grant & Danny on Tuesday, he had a couple of ideas about who might be interested if it's the latter move the Commanders make.
But if they do pick up some capital, it's hopefully something before No. 61 in Round 2, which is their next current pick – and if they do, Bruchhaus thinks it's the most 'back end' of the three spots people want to see the Commanders beef up that's likely the target.
"If they end up doing that, I would suspect them to try to go with a secondary player, primarily the cornerbacks in this draft," Bruchhaus said. "I'm talking Shavon Ravel, Benjamin Morrison, all guys that struggled with injury, but appear to have a borderline blue-chip performance element or athletic element to them despite the major question that's dropping them down into a different tier. I suspect they end up going secondary if they end up trading back and allowing a team to select with their pick."
