Week 8 Bears-Commanders game flexed to CBS' 4:25 p.m. national window

We’ve got our first Commanders flex game of the year!

The NFL announced Tuesday that the Week 8 game between the Commanders and Bears has been moved from 1 p.m. to 4:25 p.m., with the Eagles-Bengals game moving from the late window to a 1 p.m. start.

The Oct. 27 matchup pits the top two picks in the 2024 NFL Draft against each other, and now has the added appeal of both teams sitting at 4-2; the Bears will remain there this weekend, as they are on the bye, while the Commanders host the 1-5 Panthers in the late window this Sunday.

Both games are part of CBS’ slate in Week 8, so it will be Jim Nantz and Tony Romo on the call of what becomes the national game on a three-game late CBS slate that also includes Chiefs-Raiders and Panthers-Broncos.

The currently 3-2 Eagles and 2-4 Bengals move to the early window that also includes Jets-Patriots, Colts-Texans, and Ravens-Browns.
