2020 Fantasy Football: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Week 7

With the NFL season entering Week 7, don't take any chances and risk losing your seventh matchup. Who to start, and who to sit this week in fantasy football:

Start 'Em

QB: Carson Wentz, Philadelphia Eagles
Opponent: vs. NY Giants

Carson Wentz seems to be able to put up average fantasy numbers despite losing all of his top weapons. Despite not having DeSean Jackson, Alshon Jeffery, Dallas Goedert, and relying on two undrafted receivers in Travis Fulgham and Greg Ward Jr. against the Baltimore Ravens, Wentz was able to keep Philly in the contest and give Baltimore a scare in Week 6. The former No. 2 overall pick finished with 29.42 FPTS and is a more-than-reliable streamer in Week 7 against the Giants.

RB: David Johnson, Houston Texans
Opponent: vs. Packers

David Johnson used to be a set-it-and-forget-it running back in years past but no longer has the dynamic rushing ability that made him a fantasy star during his time in Arizona. This week, however, the former University of Northern Iowa standout faces a Green Bay defense that has allowed the most fantasy points to opposing running backs.

WR: Mike Williams, LA Chargers
Opponent: vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Mike Williams comes off of a bye against a terrific matchup against a putrid Jacksonville secondary that has struggled to contain opposing wideouts all season long. Back in Week 5, Williams posted the best stat line of his season, catching five passes for 109 receiving yards and two touchdowns for 27.9 FPTS.

TE: Noah Fant, Denver Broncos
Opponent: vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Noah Fant is expected to suit up against the reigning Super Bowl champs in Week 7 after missing the Broncos' last game with an ankle injury. If the second-year tight end is able to go, he's in a great position against the Chiefs to deliver. With Drew Lock back in the mix, Fant should see plenty of targets.

Sit 'Em

QB: Jared Goff, LA Rams
Opponent: vs. Bears

Jared Goff played very well this year against the NFC East. Unfortunately, he doesn't face them again until next season. A matchup with the Monsters of the Midway should scare fantasy managers into finding a better option. Try Carson Wentz, Ryan Tannehill, or Joe Burrow.

RB: Le'Veon Bell, Kansas City Chiefs
Opponent: at Denver Broncos

Le'Veon Bell might see some action in his first game with the Chiefs, but he hasn't proven to managers that he can be relied upon so far, and he is worth keeping on your bench until he becomes a factor in the offense. This rushing attack still goes through Clyde Edwards-Helaire until proven otherwise.

WR: JuJu Smith-Schuster, Pittsburgh Steelers
Opponent: at Titans

The Steelers no longer air the ball out. That's the only conclusion I can come to for why JuJu Smith-Schuster has been so minimal in the Steelers' offense so far this season despite the team holding a 5-0 record. He cannot be trusted until further notice, and it's not worth the grief to trot him out again and worth blowing your chances in Week 7.

TE: Rob Gronkowski, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Opponent: at Raiders

Don't even think about it. Gronk has posted one solid fantasy outing in six games this year. He took advantage of a Packers' defense in Week 6 in garbage-time. Don't rely on him against the Raiders. If you wait until kickoff and then decide you don't want to start Gronk, your only options will be Jimmy Graham or Gerald Everett, because those are likely the only two tight ends left on waivers who still have a game to play.
